Fall in Todd County

Sorry that I haven't had many posts here on the site for the past year.....a little thing called a baby boy joined us in October of 2015, and let's just say it's taken to now to feel like I'm getting back in the swing of things!

I do have a few new reviews I want to do, here lately we've been to Kentucky Down Under, the Nashville Zoo and Adventure Science Center in Nashville again, was back out to Kids and Play in Clarksville, had a great summer tour at Christian Way Farms and spent a weekend in St Louis hitting up some of their fabulous low cost kid friendly activities like the Science Center and Magic House.  I'll eventually get more details for you on all of those.

Fall is a busy time here in Todd County, look for more info on the Bale Trail, Harvest Fest, school Fall Festivals, pumpkin patches etc in the weeks to come.

In the meantime, enjoy this list I put together for your "Fall Bucket List" of things to do in and around Todd County this fall:

Einstein is a Dummy - Nashville Children's Theatre Review - $$

The 2015-2016 season at The Nashville Children's Theatre kicked off Thursday night September 17th with "Einstein is a Dummy."

"Einstein is a Dummy" isn't your typical production as it's probably not a book or play you are familiar with, but as everything I've seen from The Nashville's Children's Theatre, it's still worth seeing!

Hay Y'all It's Fall in Todd County!

Fall has always been one of my favorite times of year.  After Labor Day the shadows start elongating in the afternoons, combines start rolling in the corn, dark fired tobacco smoke is lingering in the air, pumpkin spice everything starts showing up and for the second year in a row, Hay Creatures start popping up over Todd County.

2015 is the second year for the Todd County Community Alliance's Bale Trail, which in conjunction with the annual Harvest Festival held the first Saturday of October, really gets everyone in the mood for all things fall.

Summer Splash Spots - Varies

With Memorial Day right around the corner and the temps rising, soon we will all be looking for places to cool off this summer!

I've put together a list of some of the regional places that you can go cool off!  If you know of others that I'm missing, please let me know and we will share them with everyone else as well.

Amish Saturday's in Todd County - Free

For those of us from Todd County, seeing the Amish in and around the community and shopping at their businesses is pretty much the norm, but it's not the norm for many people even just 20 miles away.  I've always felt Todd County was special and it seems as though many things are coming together this year to really be able to promote the county, increase tourism and Saturday's seem to be the best day to come for a visit!

Orr's Bouncing Fun Bouncers - Elkton, KY - $$

This review is written by Leilani Campbell. Leilani, a stay at home mom, her husband Kyle and 3 kiddos live just south of Elkton.

We have had these inflatables at my children's birthday parties for years.

I absolutely love them! Its under new management, which doesn't change anything about the company, its still as great as ever. The communication, punctuality, and overall experience has always been one in which we have never had an issue.
